Real weather but less cloud?

Post by tbaac »

Hi. Is there an option somewhere in xplane (or in FSGRW, RWC or SMP) to use real time weather but to cut down the amount of cloud?

So maybe you could raise the ceiling, have nothing but minor cloudage less than 4000 ft AGL etc.

Flying with no weather seems a bit like pressing the 'easy button' but flying with real weather doesn't work for VFR flight where I was flying today.

Anyone know of such a thing? Thanks.

I use XP with RWC & SMP. I'll D/L current weather then raise the ceiling to maybe 6000 AGL. As long as winds are realistic it will not make much if a difference for the controllers sake. But you can also fly what ever weather you like. Just let the controllers know if its way different then real world. But i don't think i would change anything during peak times and events.
