An error connecting to the ATC server

Post by RobdeVries »

Hello,
I reinstalled the PE client and tried to connect with my credentials.

However I'm getting a "An error occurred connecting to the Air Traffic Control server" error. In the log screen appears "[ERROR] Protocol error:"
I made sure the sim is fully running (ie. parked at a ramp and not paused)
I made sure you're not in the free flight select screen (where you choose the aircraft and location)
I make sure I'm using the correct email address and password (as far as I know).

sorry the error message isn't more descriptive.

check your username and password are correct by logging into the website.

if still stuck, let me me know.

also make sure there are no odd characters or slaves in the email or callsign

Hi Keith,

I think it's sorted. I seem to have a double account. i tried to login with the double deactivated account. I will send a request to delete the inactive account.

Yes, you had an Hourly account from 2011 and an unlimited monthly account from late last year. Email billing@pilotedge.net and let them know what you'd like to do. The monthly account is the one that's active at the moment. You might have been using the email address on the dead account.
