FSX Client

Post by Dan Everette »

Just did a test flight with no issues (SB4 install on same machine as FSX). Will test later this evening using a networked SB4 install.

Two items of note:

1 - Default Recording/Playback: While it's mentioned on the connect page, quick workaround in FSX is to have your USB headset as default recording/playback device, and change the playback device WITHIN FSX to your speakers, so all ATC comms are in the headset and environmentals (engine noises, etc) come through speakers.

2 - Transponder: For people not coming from VATSIM, will need to explain the XPNDR Mode-C/STBY toggling within SB4. Ideally it's be nice to pull the transponder status from the sim to completely minimize SB4 interaction.

Cheers,

Good points, Dan.

The xpndr status is read from the sim, too, afaik.

For panels with a properly working xpndr, the popup sb4 xpndr is not necessary to the best of my knowledge.

Good tip on the audio, will update the page when able. In car right now (pax)
