Voice via headset

Post by Nick Warren »

I used to, up until recently, be able to change my default device to my headset in the Windows control panel, start Pilotedge, then reselect my device to my speakers in Windows. This would provide me with aircraft sounds from the speakers and ATC sound through the headset. On my last 2 flights I have noticed that despite following those steps, I am now hearing ATC through the speakers. I still transmit fine from my headset. Any thoughts on if this is just something on my end that I need to sort out and what may be causing it?

Thanks,
Nick

Nick, that was a technique that was used with the older software.

Now, you can do it one of two ways:
1) you can set your Default Communications Device in Windows to be your headset and your Default Device to be your speakers, or
2) you can specify the output device in the PilotEdge app itself

I may need to update software then. I only have "default" as an option for output device. I'll take a look. Thanks Keith

Edit: Currently running v1.0.2 Build: ??? Data: 2006112500

Edit: Disregard, It's the input device I only have "default" for. My "output" device is selected for my headset.
