Multiple disconnections tonight

Post by Aviatorbja »

I had multiple disconnections tonight, some during my I-1 rating. Been using pe for more than a week with zero issues until today. Is there an easy way to diagnose the issue? Using FSX SP2, win7 64 bit.

I'm sure it drove the controllers nuts.

What are you using for your Push to talk (PTT) key? Are you aware that pressing PTT quickly several times in a row will disconnect PE?

Another common mis-configuration is to define the PPT key as repeats when held.

One of the things that I do is to monitor my progress on the PE live map. Select yourself and check on "show tracks" check box.

When you get disconnected make note IF the PE live map is still showing other planes and updating. Confirm that your Internet connection is working by accessing other web sites.

If using wireless, consider a direct connection.

Thanks for the reply wmburns. I have had NO issues since that evening. I'm pretty sure it was my Aivlasoft EFT trying to make updates to the GPS system which was causing issues.
I've flown dozens of flights since then with ZERO issues. I'm really liking PE.
