Satellite Connection

Post by Vybiral »

Thanks for the tip regarding PFC at the ASF seminar Tuesday night. PFC had a really nice sim set-up, and were handing out PE info to all who were interested. There were about 300 pilots in attendance for the Radio Communications seminar. Mike Altman and Tracy Cook are good guys . PFC's offices and FAA-approved flight simulators are just a short walk from the very classy FBO at KMHR. In an earlier PE/FS-X thread, "Dropping Packets", you mentioned that at least one PE pilot was using a Hughes satellite connection. Have you heard anything about how that is working out for him? As I recall, even earlier you said that satellite, like 3G, was a "non-starter" for communicating with PE. Other than selling my house and moving to somewhere with broadband, that seems to be my only remaining option, and a very expensive one at that, since Hughes has no competition that I am aware of.

Thanks again for your help. A very wise move on your part, hooking up with PFC!
