If the PE client itself is freezing then it's not likely to be an FSX problem, that's my guess at least.
Kyle, I'll get you a version with some comprehensive debugging this week so we can try to isolate the problem.

I'm curious if something to do with the data execution manager is doing this. Has anyone tried installing the PE software outside of the programs folder ie root folder?

I spent some time looking through the SB4 forums, and found the same suggestion (I installed PE on my dedicated FSX hard drive and still got the freeze). Keith, I'd be happy to run the debug version and am looking forward to getting this resolved!
In the mean time, I'll try reinstalling SB4 and see if it's a native SB4 problem or the PE part that's causing it.

Happened to me again this evening and with using the run as admistrator privileges on starting. I'm getting a DEP error and I cannot exclude the PE program from DEP.
