PTT and FSX

I have FSX Box and a Saitek yoke. I just got pilotedge and want to use the trigger button, if you want to call it that, as the PTT but when I go into the settings and try to assign it, pilotede doesn't seem to see it being push but the default ATC window still pops up like I've been using it.

Also is pilotedge supposed to show up in the fsx menu bar as a plug-in?

any thoughts?

Roger

Firstly, welcome to PilotEdge.

Secondly, please be sure to post your requests for help in the appropriate forums. This is FSX specific and there is a FSX specific forum. I'm sure Keith will move the topic soon enough.

Thirdly, have you followed the instructions from the install page? https://www.pilotedge.net/pages/download-software-msfs What you need should be described here.

Good luck!

Thank you Marcus. I got it working and passed a radio check. I'm psyched right now!
I'm in my 60's and this is all very high-tech for me. Got my start on my C-64 and Sublogic II so that tells you something lol

Cheers.

Roger,

As Marcus suggested, I moved this thread out of General and into the FSX forum. Please use the most specific forum that is relevant to your question. That's what allows us to prevent this from becoming a jumbled mess after 6+ year of operation.

Great to hear another Commodore FS2 user coming out of the wood work, I got my start in the very same sim around the age of 8.

Kieth, wow you were quite young!
I was in my early 30s in the late 80s. When I was 8 only Dick Tracy and Man from U.N.C.L.E. had cool shit and in our house we had 1 rotary-dial phone that hung on the kitchen wall. And I remember sometime earlier than that our phone was on a party line. Even back then we had no privacy lol.

Thanks for the reply Kieth and I will certainly post in a more appropriate forum. That was my first. {cower} lol

Blue skies
Roger
