Someone at Orbx/FTX must be a PE member:

Note the proper American flag and the barbecue/lounge chairs. No sheep.

Those guys are amazing...not posting over at Orbx in case someone gets a hand slapped.

That's spectacularly cool. Tipped me over the edge on the purchase decision, even though I don't fly FSX much these days. Well done OrbX people!

We are due for the 2nd annual Helicopter Tennis Championship...what are we to do with no court to play on?

I heard SoCal kills performance... hows it on your rig? I was going to buy it as I have their other NA regions but I'm concerned about it because I have pretty much all the payware airports in this region already.

Yea I had to change settings to get it up into the 20's, but it was down around 10 to 15 with higher settings I originally had setup.

Running i5-2500 - Windows 7 - 8GB memory - Video 970 with 4GB.

This might be the push I needed to get a newer processor

Oh well next time I will look before leaping :)

I have a cheapie Dell desktop from Staples:

Windows 10
Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
8GB RAM
120GB SSD and 1TB HD
Gigabyte GT640 with 1GB VRAM

I get 33FPS locked with my A2A aircraft, 25-30 with my PMDG 777. No real hit for me, but I was running FTX Global and Vector before. I'm also running FSX:SE with the DX-10 Fixer

Steve

I have try those settings to see how it goes

Yea I have FTC Global only, of which I was surprised to see a drop in frames.

Also I see your running a newer processor than I am as well, which I would expect to help.

Thanks for posting

Until recently, I had a Core2 Quad 2.66Ghz machine and I was surprised how much of a difference this makes. It's the overall throughput of the new machine and it's ability to get data in/out of the same graphics card that makes the difference

Steve - I had the same one over clocked, and when I went to a i5 things really got faster, but now with the newer Orbrx I am starting to prep my wife for a newer computer :)

I see Micro Center has 18 months no interest so I may do this after Xmas bills settle down. :)

As I would like to try to slide a 4K 32 monitor into the mix :)
