No Jet-A at 46CA

Post by wmburns »

Running jobs in my PC12 and ended up at 46CA for the first time in a long time. Was surprised to find there was no Jet-A fuel available.

To Keith, just wondering if you were aware.

To everyone else, don't make the same mistake I just did. I usually check to see if there's fuel available before making a flight. In this case, I looked at the 100LL and "assumed" it was good for Jet-A. Fortunately there was another short run with Jet-A available.

My fault, I've been away from the sim and FSE for a while. Just getting back into it now. I'll get the fuel ordered right now.

Fuel ordered, it'll be here tomorrow at 1637z. I will see if I can fly some in this afternoon as I plan on doing a practice flight anyway.

Don't fly any in on my account. PC12 already moved on. Thanks.

Brought in 330 gallons of JET-A from On the Rocks, 20nm away using Marcus' 407 and Ken's FBO. FSE at its finest right there.

Thanks Keith, the DA40 I've been renting in the area appreciates it

You'd think!

Type Diamond DA40D DiamondStar
Fuel Type JetA

That's because the Diamond Star has a diesel engine. (The FSE version anyway - DA40D).

Ahh good to know. I forgot about the European version.

The bulk fuel order didn't take, I have no idea why. I've placed it again, it'll be here tomorrow sometime.
