liveatc feed for pilotedge?

Post by theskunk »

I was wondering, as aircraft are in the air, without logging into a flight sim, is there a way to simply listen in on the active communications? IE: there are a few flights running around right now, and I'd love to just listen to somebody shooting approaches/etc.

Anybody have a way to do this?

There is a utility that I have working which I would ultimately like to release which would have this capability. It's just not ready for prime time (it's text based, isn't easy to use, has the ability to transmit, etc).

I'd also welcome that capability. I'm constantly showing PE off to people.

Having live audio to go along with the live PE map would really enhance that experience.

I assume you're also familiar with the ATC recordings on the web site, too?

Sure am! But, live audio streaming in the background with the live map would be killer! Probably pretty low on the priority list, but would be nice to have one day.
