Critique my V3 flight?

Last night I did my V3 flight.. I tried to time-lapse and/or cut out the long stretches of 'nothing'.. Would appreciate any (gentle) critique's of what I can improve on the radio.

Don't laugh at my disaster of a final base-turn into Torrence... you'd be laughing even harder if I left in the touch-down where I blew a tire. (I'm relieved the tower thought it was funny). Long day, I guess. =)

Don't say "With you" when checking on. They're just useless extra words that don't mean anything. "Baron 788B, level 4500".

Why not? I love flying VFR down the Hudson along NYC at night - man, what a skyline!

I think the X-Plane scenery looks terrible during the day.. It makes me feel like I'm flying in a cartoon.

At night it actually looks semi-realistic. =)

Sure wish there was some good photo-realitic scenery of SoCal for X-Plane. =(

Why on earth wouldn't or couldn't you fly VFR at night???

Canada's different, I believe, I think a night rating is required of some sort. I presume, then, that it's rare to blend primary training and night flying, perhaps?

In Sweden, there is an extra five hours of training required for a VFR night qualification. Almost a necessity here, since the sun sets already at 3:30pm in the winter time!

I believe the rule in Canada is 1/2 hour before sunset and a 1/2 an hour after sunrise - something to that effect for daytime VFR.
