I'm sure it makes the traffic easy to see, but fwiw, spotting an airplane 10 miles away during the day is nearly impossible.

I can't get rid of the giant lights no matter what the setting. I've tried HDR on/off, per pixel, etc and the lights look the same.

Pretty much all the lights look large to me. Take a look at the airport lighting in the highlight below. Is that not how X-Plane looks for everyone?
