Failing and Passing the I-5

Post by tshuff »

I flew my I-5 yesterday in the new EMB 110 by Dreamfoil creations. Super challenging flight to perform in this plane. My first departure from Burbank had me blowing past my 11000 foot altitude restriction and then sending the plane into an uncontrollable dive as I panicked and tried to recover. Attempt #2 went pretty smoothly with one or two hiccups. Props to the controller for the nice twist at the end of the flight.

Note- I was drinking and using lots of adult language  .

Had a ton of fun with this flight. This Embraer is no joke and absolutely kept me on my toes for the entire flight. You forget how much you rely on simple things like standby frequencies and alt select modes and how a lack of these can really throw you off your game. Absolutely incredible plane that I recommend to anyone who enjoys turboprops and steam gauges.

Cat: " Yep we're dead"

Controller: " Roger"

Calmest and impersonal reaction to a plane going down by a controller ever.....

And he got a pass on the second try as well ;) with something he did

Even though he was told he landed on the wrong runway, which I think Cat fell out of the chair. I know I did a double take on the VOD. :)
