Virtual CFII
Virtual CFII
I'd love to see PE start a program where a CFII watches the instrument panel as we fly and can interact with the student/pilot in the headset during the flight. This could/should be setup as an hourly rate and the CFII would probably need to be booked ahead of time just like an in-person CFII. Also I realize that none of this would count as official training. However, whenever I learn a subject I find it best to learn from as many sources as possible. PE already provides a great service for flying in the ATC system but adding virtual CFII would be a huge boost to the value I get as a PE member.
Re: Virtual CFII
I'm seeing some posts on shared cockpits. Thus seem like the idea of a virtual instructor could be a reality.

Re: Virtual CFII
Who pays for the CFII's airsick bags while flying with me?
Re: Virtual CFII
I'm standing by and looking forward to this possibility.
Re: Virtual CFII
I am also interested in this option
Re: Virtual CFII
Any updates? Not together I'm anxious or anything!
Re: Virtual CFII
I'm an instrument student who is almost done with training. I wouldn't mind sitting in on IFR flights if people need help. I don't know how shared cockpit works for FSX though.

Re: Virtual CFII
sorry this hasn't been updated in a while. Yes, we are moving ahead with this. I expect we'll start doing it this quarter.
