How to enter pattern when cleared to 'enter right base'?

I am cleared to 'Enter right base, cleared to land'.
Q. How do I enter the pattern?
A. At a 45 degree to right base
B. Straight in on base heading
C. Join the downwind at 45 degrees for right base?

Toby, think about the words the controller is using. "Enter [the pattern on a ] right base, runway xx cleared to land."
Only option B achieves the goal. The pattern entry is typically given based on your current position. If they're telling you enter on a base, it's because that's likely the most efficient way to enter the pattern from where you are.
