All,
I am wondering about one question when flying an ODP.
If the ODP requires a hold to climb to the needed altitude, what happens when I have reached that altitude in the hold? Can I leave the hold on my own as I was cleared for the ODP and the following enroute segment? Or do I have to obtain ATC clearance prior to leaving the hold?
Regards,
Oliver

Re: ODP - Leaving Hold
You don't need ATC clearance to leave the ODP hold.
If you are in a non-radar environment, you are expected to report arrival and departure from the hold. If you are in a radar environment, especially in busy airspace, I'm pretty sure most controllers do not want that report, but the AIM does not provide that guidance.
