You do good work - I've heard you before. Sorry I can't think of your name! I think we had over 10 pilots flying (which seems like a lot for a weekday at night), a lot at SNA for patterns and you sounded really good. Always professional - maybe a little feisty at times - but that's a good thing! You have to get on us laid back PE pilots!

I will second that both controllers on last night. Just wow. No idea how you keep up with all that. From 8:30 EDT to 10:00EDT not sure he ever took a breath so some one may want to make sure he is still alive today.

Agree! Great job. Was that a single controller for ALL positions (RADAR & TWR) last night around 9p EDT? Well done, but VERY busy.

It was a single guy when I was flying (N84969) at least from 10pm eastern onwards.

Yep it was one guy. The controller changed around 10ish but was still busy and same amazing ability to keep up.
I vision the guy that is spinning plates on sticks as the equivalent of what was going on last night. Just amazing that he can vector that many planes at one time and still help the guy on the V3 rating understand why busting the Bravo is bad.

What's crazy is when you see their scope, it's amazing that they even can keep up. Peter will sometime Twitch stream his scope and the VFR drones are all there, looking pretty similar to the rest of us, so it's a haze of moving dots. When you just hear one controller in all the positions, they are constantly zooming/scrolling/panning the scope to find you and give instructions. Simply stunning work.

Often I'll pull up the live map and audio feed and follow all the aircraft - mock pretending I'm the controller. No way can I handle it. It's stunning to watch the abilities of these PilotEdge controllers manage us all single-handedly - absolutely impressive and amazing.
Tuesday night, someone on frequency made the comment, "Whatever they're paying you, it ain't enough." I'll ditto that.
All that said, it would be really great to have a page on the website with a list of all the controller's names, photo and short bio. I'd would really like to get to know a bit more about these awesome people that guide us in the virtual skies. We recognize their familiar voices on the coms, but it would be great to place it to a name and face.

I was not on last night but was on for the last flyin to KSNA which was in its own right a very heavy night. It certainly takes a specific ability to handle that type of intensive thought, decisiveness and communication.
I would like to echo the kudos in this thread, also a thanks to the PE team for making PE what it is.

I think Keith said a while back that the bio thing wasn't in consideration, although it is nice to know the controllers' names. A few of the memorable ones are Peter, Keith, Janevah (did I spell that right?...), sometimes Marcus, Jorge (not really his voice, more of his mic
), Joe, and the most "energetic" for last - Brandon! With the network rapidly expanding as it is, I think they may have to change the radio logic so that you can hear everyone at all times, regardless of whether the controller is working ground - or at least add in more controllers at a single time. I know Marcus was getting overwhelmed and frustrated a few nights ago because he constantly had 3-4 guys calling at once. It got to the point where I would be afraid to call in lest I step on someone... Terrific work by all the controllers.

Since that post the "revisiting" has happened and our position on it hasn't changed.Just to set expectations, this was something we considered from Day 1 but ultimately opted not to do. There are internal reasons for this. We'll revisit it, but we have to weigh the pros and cons, just as we did before.
If we were exclusively serving home markets, it'd be a no-brainer. For the some of the spaces in which we operate, and in which we'd like to operate at some point, there are disadvantages that won't be obvious to the community. That's about the most detail I can provide on this issue.
