[Thu-Sat] Feb 24-26 Pilots requested for demos

Post by Keith Smith »

PilotEdge will be demonstrated at the WAI convention in Reno this week, Thu-Sat. We'll have ATC online during the day (pacific time), in addition to the regular beta hours. Pilots are encouraged to take advantage of the additional staffing around Socal. In fact, we would appreciate all the traffic we can get over the course of those three days. The busier the radios, the more interesting the demo on the show floor!

We'll be running a scenario involving a flight from SBA-SMX-SBP, as well as other airports, to be determined.

The convention schedule is as follows:
Thu 1:00 PM - 5:45 PM
Fri 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Sat 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Update: the demo aircraft will be flying almost exclusively out of Long Beach. Pilots are requested to use LGB as their departure or arrival airport as much as possible. Pattern work is also highly encouraged.

Was the PFC simulator supposed to render as a Grand Varavan? On both of my external visuals they were a cessna Grand Caravan (complete with the underbelly trunk) instead of a C182.

We don't have a 182 in the CSL library. The 'related.txt' file should probably be updated to associate a 182 with a 172. It's taking its best guess as a Caravan.
