If you had your druthers....

Post by Daddy O »

Since all of you have flown dozens of virtual aircrafrt for many hours, if you had a couple million bucks to buy and maintain your dream aircraft, what would you buy? What aircraft have you truly pined for, and why do you like that aircraft so much?

Lancair Evolution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ofx7HQZugU

Relatively cheap, incredibly efficient, fast, comfy, and if I remember correctly, can carry some stuff a long way.

Check out this comparison page with other aircraft with similar performance. They payload of the D-Jet is comical.

I have always wanted a King Air 200. Enough room for the family, the dawgs, luggage, and a lotta gas. The plane actually flies better fully loaded than empty (bobs about when it is empty.) The new B250 retails for about 5 mil, but you can find used B200s for under a mil. Aircraft have fantastic depriciation after purchase (except when it comes to insurance rates) so I would lean heavily towards a used plane. I don't even mind if it has old-school steam guages.
