Re: Callsign Query

Further to the above please confirm I have this correct?

I currently fly occasionally with a virtual airline Worldwide Virtual Airlines. This apparently is not registered with Pilotedge.

I don't think this is a problem because on your ICAO list there is Worldwide Jet Charter ICAO Code WWI, based in Phoenix.

Am I correct in thinking that the controllers will accept a flight number WWI 1234 and I can give them a reminder in the notes that 'WWI equals Worldwide Jet Charter'.

Presumably this will abbreviate to 'Worldwide 1234' in practice.

Will the same reminder come through if I add this for VFR flight?

Thanks for your help.

I'll feed this back to the forum on WorldWide Virtual and encourage new visitors to Pilotedge!

WWI is WorldWoide Jet Charter, with a radio telephony callsign of "WorldWide," and it's already in our database. We added a capability for controllers to query this database in real time, so there shouldn't be any need to put it in the remarks.

I'm flying an Army helicopter IFR capable. Can I use an army callsign such as "[Helicopter] Army one two three four" or "[Helicopter] Ghostrider three six"

Of course- as long as it is realistic/professional.
