One VR benefit with the GTN

Post by Kilstorm »

One thing that I learned yesterday when practicing the LINDZ8 DP out of KASE using the GTN750 in P3D in VR with FLyInside is that you can have a 2D window suspended in space in the VC and can see through it if you do not have the cursor over the 2D window. How that benefited me was I was able to enlarge the GPS right in front of me with the departure plate showing on the GPS and did not need to look down on the panel where it was physically mounted while still being able to look at all the gauges on the panel behind it as well as the view outside the wind screen in front of me. Basically a giant HUD where I could focus my attention to the GPS screen or look through it and see everything behind it. A very useful feature to have when flying a tricky approach or departure if one cared to do so. Just thought I would share.
