Looks like this is an old thread that was recently revived, but speaking of KEUG, it being added has been great for me. There's a lot of flight training out of Eugene so it's good practice prior to a lesson.
So far, all I've done on PE is practice approaches but I plan to do the I-ratings at some point too. I need to pass an IPC by summer 2019 so I'm trying to practice all nearby approaches my instructor can realistically assign.
The I-ratings will be more beneficial as an IFR pilot, memorizing specific approaches vs working through various/unfamiliar situations isn't good but it's what I need to do for the time being. I seem to always mess something up doing the familiar approaches anyway, whether dropping below MDA or blowing through an assigned altitude. I was confident when I signed up for the PE trial a few days ago...
