Using FSPassengers the autopilot kicked off while in cruise in IMC. I was unable to reengage the autopilot. Doing my panel scan I noticed electronic issues. My backup HSI had failed, I was no longer getting airspeed read outs on my strip tape, my altitude indicator was flagged INOP but still working. I knew I had an electrical issues but unable to really troubleshoot what it was since I was busy hand flying the plane in IMC over mountainous terrain with only a few 1,00 feet of clearance and unable to determine an airspeed and if my altimeter was reading correctly.

By my best observation, My FMS and the display on the EHSI was working, my VS needle seemed to be working, and I was unsure of my altitude. I tried to radio Denver Center to ask what he was showing on the radar scope for my altitude but when I got no reply I knew I had lost Comms and so I squawked 7600. Knowing I wasnt going to be able to land at Denver without comms and with it MVFR, I started looking for alternates. EGE was VFR but in the mountains so I would rather look for an airport in the valley on the east of the continental divide.

I decided to take Fort Collins and then changed my squawk from 7600 to 7700. I was getting power serge's so every once and awhile I would see my airspeed indicator working. Not sure of my airspeed I maintained a high airspeed on final then crabbed to loose it. Here is the final report from FSPassengers.

Hey Nathan -

I noticed that you were flying in IMC over the Rockies. I'm wondering if instead of having an electrical issue, you actually had a blocked (ice) pitot tube which would affect your airspeed and altitude indicators. It would seem that some of the older Jetstreams do have have a Pitot tube. Here is an article that you might be interested in: https://www.regional-services.com/wp-co ... ssue-6.pdf
