I just downloaded and installed the new version of PE, which went smoothly (I uninstalled then old version first). I am able to connect without issue. I can hear the controllers just fine. However, PE "crashes" when I press my PTT button. In the PE window I get a "Protocol error: socket not connected." I then have to close PE using task manager. Both P3D and PE are opened without administrator priveleges (as instructed), but I get the error with admin priveleges as well. My PTT is mapped to a button on my yoke using FSUIPC.

Re: PTT causing PE to crash
Todd, that's a bit odd. Does the same thing happen if you use a keyboard-based PTT?

Re: PTT causing PE to crash
Good to know. Is this FSUIPC-induced crash (the 'socket not connected') occurring while you're connected to the network, or is this before you connect?

Ok, I'll try to look into that when I return from California. Can anyone else confirm that the FSUIPC-triggered PTT is crashing for them?

In the meantime, google "JoyToKey" which is what I use. It maps a keyboard keystroke to my yoke.
