Realair Lancair Legacy in V2.5

Post by MervA »

Just a quick question for those who may be using the Legacy in P3D v2.5, are you able to hear all aircraft sounds, Interior ; Exterior ; and Panel sounds ?

Some are missing, such as ground roll, gear extension and flaps. There may be more, but I believe all other sounds work.
Thanks,

Thanks Lance.

My reason for asking is that I am using V2.4, and the sounds are all working fine, but they did not work before that in v2.1 and after in v2.5 when I installed it some months ago, so I reverted back to v2.4 and all ok again now, I used the migration tool for all installs so not sure what's up, been in touch with the guys a Realair and they say they are working on an update as we speak.

Yeah. I would expect an update (it won't be free) for P3D soon.
Thanks,

They are also making a super legacy - similar to the turbo upgrades. I believe the new P3D version will have GTN support as well.

If you are using the latest version of the Migration Tool, there is built-in support in the most recent versions of that application to correct the custom sound issue (flaps, gear etc) with the Legacy and Duke B60v2. You just have to activate Virtual FSX once to apply the fix I believe (you do not even have to leave Virtual FSX enabled for the fix to stay in effect - I have it turned off unless I am installing an FSX add-on).

You do need to enable Virtual FSX whenyou run the Legacy or Duke B60v2 configuration programs though (for example, to change the installed avionics settings), so that they can find your P3D installation properly.

I had an issue recently when I did the latest P3D hotfix, I had an error message with the Tool and the custom sounds were gone. I had to deactivate my antivirus temporarily during updating to the latest Migration Tool version but Flightsim Estonia support helped me through and all works fine for both aircraft now.

I downloaded and installed the "latest" migration tool when I installed the Legacy and still had missing sounds. I might go see if there's a more recent tool and try it again though.

Thanks guys for your replies, looks like I'll be staying with v2.4 till Realair come up with a P3D release, too much involved in changing to different P3D versions just to check if the newer migration tool works any better.

Did a update yesterday on the tool, and the release note stated "now supports P3D v2.5 "
