ORBX SoCal Scenery AFCAD updates

Post by MervA »

If you have installed ORBX Southern California Scenery and have no DME for Runway 24 LOC\DME Approach at Palomar KCRQ
or are missing the KVCV - Victorville VOR/DME Navaid [ VCV - 109.05] try these.

It's the third one down on the web page.

I found this post DURING my practice run for the i11 exam. Approaching APLES and the VCV VOR wasn't identifying. Um, what the heck. Quick, google it!!! Found this post.

Fixed now, thank you for posting up a fix. Was able to fly the i11 and pass last night.

Thanks!!!!

Your welcome, and while I'm here, if anyone spots a scenery issue like this at another airport let me know and I try to fix it if possible, I've only found these two so far.

Hello, I've been looking all over and I hope I'm in the right place to ask this question.
I do not have the ORBX Socal region installed. I do have global and openlc na.
Is there anything I can do to get the vor at KVCV working. I would like to try the I-11 but I prefer to do it with radios as opposed to GPS.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, both ORBX Global and NA LandClass will not have Airports, there is a ORBX Global NA Airports on their site that's freeware, but that doesn't have KVCV either
If you are not using the ORBX SOCAL Scenery then you will most likely be using the default airport. I got a funny feeling I did the KVCV [VOR] for the default airport, but if not, I'll see if I can do one for you when I get a minute.

Cya !!
