atc very muffled

Post by pkofman »

I notice that another guy had the same issue im having

"When not inside P3D, voice sounds great.
When in P3D, even with engine volume all the way down, voice gets very muffled."

My issue is the same , when the sim p3d v3 is running i can barely hear atc.. ( made a mistake tonight because of it ) and then when the sim is not running it is perfect. ( meaning when i pause the sim )

I have a usb headset ... works great all of the time except in PE. p3dv3
very tough to hear. I fiddled with the exclusivity, priority and boost thread options. I just about everything that seemed obvious.
Can someone point me in a direction.

I have the headset plugged into the front of the computer as it seems to work better.

IM running w10x64 p3dv3.3 and pe client.

Thoughts...

I ran into this back on Windows 7, and it was a Windows setting that reduced volume when communication was detected. Try right clicking your speaker icon in the system tray, down by the date/time display, and choosing "Sounds", then selecting the "Communications" tab. On that tab, make sure the setting "Do nothing" is selected.
