Prepar3D advice

Post by Swami121 »

Howdy,

I have been checking out the youtube videos of Prepar3D and I have a few questions I'm hoping someone might be able to answer:

Is the flight model better than X-Plane? Currently I struggle sometimes with the flight model/control inputs in X-Plane.. and the autopilot sometimes does odd things.
Does it take a monster rig to run? I have a pretty powerful system capable of running X-Plane 10 on 4 monitors decently.
Is Prepar3D v 4 coming out anytime soon? It would be tough to buy version 3 only to have version 4 released shortly after.
Academic vs. Professional? I'm currently in flight training and my son is also learning with me. Is there any functional difference between the two?
Does it include any stock planes? The X-35 looks pretty sweet! Personally I would be looking for a good Cirrus SR20/SR22 model.
How well does it work with PilotEdge and multiplayer in general?

Appreciate the feedback!
