Assigning the IDENT to the Yoke or another control

I am using P3D v4 and I was wondering if there is a hot key on the PE program, kind of like push to talk. I know there is no assignment choice but I was wondering if there was a key stroke in the background that would work. Right now I need to get out of the sim, well switch, and set it in PE. I am using Saitek and CH products

I have a yoke button on my Saitek yoke assigned to IDENT via registered FSUIPC. Works great.

xpndr ident (sb4) Maybe it's ignoring the parameter. I have no parameter (0) and it's fine that way.

So this just does nit want to work. I am considering getting flight illision transponder radio with has a ident key, so other software is not needed other than what comes with it. So hopefully this will work and PE will see when I press the ident

Not sure what else I can do to help here... works great for me. Here is the line in FSUIPC5.ini that I have in the profile specific BUTTONS section. I just did it that way but you can make it in the general assignments also. This doesn't do anything in the cockpit, it simply sends the IDENT to PE (button #2 below). No lights, no knobs, no buttons move in the cockpit, it's not a gauge. Others have successfully modified some specific aircraft panels to integrate the Mode C and in fewer cases the IDENT function. MervA has done some great work on this viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6372.
