'Voice system has not been initialized' on PE Pilot Client

Folks, hi!

Newbie here. Trying to connect for the 1st time but PE Pilot Client is showing: 'The voice system has not been initialized. Please ensure you have selected your audio devices in the settings window.'.
I'm running P3D v5 on W10, USB wireless headset Steelseries Arctis 7. The setup program does recognize the headset.
For your info: it's all running perfectly fine on VATSIM.

I'm stuck so any help will be appreciated.

The arctis headset has been giving some people some issues, but we've been able to get it fixed each time.

One fix that someone found was they were running an old version of C++ 64-bit redistributable. You can also try (a simpler fix) of setting your headset to 48khz in windows recording properties (advanced tab). If you can't find a fix that way, swing by the discord for more real time assistance because this could involve a lot of back and forth trouble shooting. www.pilotedge.net/discord

One more, just in case: what headset brand is 100% rock-solid on PE?

The only ones we've ever seen issues with are Jabra, Plantronics and apparently now the Arctis. Any other simple computer headset (even very cheap ones for $20) are just fine. But that's not to say Jabra, Plantronics and Arctis won't work- they just take some troubleshooting.
