WUS Alpha Challenge - 0ID2 Airport missing in FSX/P3D

Post by ChuckOman »

Finished the SoCal Alphabet Challenge and started the Western US version.
But encountered a show stopper on Leg 5:
Flying Joseph Ranch, 0ID2, isn't in my FSXSP2 and P3D v3.2 default database, nor my Orbx CRM or global scenery.
Anyone else tried it using FSX or P3D ?
Guessing this little private airport may be only in X-Plane.

This private strip appears to have been established in 2006. I'm not sure what FSX/P3D uses for its airport database.

I can only suggest that you fly something suitable for making an off field landing and land as close as practical to N44°26.57' / W113°46.39'.

Flew it in a FSX C185 Skywagon and used Plan-G route for navigation - if you select the Open Street Map option in Plan-G you can see the airport outline and assoc roads, and put a user waypoint there.
BTW OSM locates it at 44.19008/-113.3349, elev 5520, slightly west of the X-Plane location. But it worked. You can fly up the valley on a 290 heading, maintain 7500 till over the last hill.
