how does PE handle coming in and leaving ATC area?

Post by serious_simmer_FSX »

I have two questions.

1. Can I start a flight within the ATC area and then fly out of it? Do I disconnect from the server? or ??

2. what about the opposite? If say I want to start from KMRY and fly into KVNY.. Can I join PE midair or do I join the server first and then contact ATC when I'm in the service area?

Thanks

Hello,

You can start a flight within the coverage area and fly out of the coverage area. You will be provided ATC while in ZLA and advised when you are leaving our coverage area. We don't specifically care if you remain connected or disconnect from the server at that time.

Regarding flights into the coverage area we once again don't care where you connect as long as you are connected prior to entering ZLA (do not connect airborne within ZLA). Give us a call when you are approaching the ZLA border (you don't need to wait until you are within ZLA to call, 20 miles or so out is fine) and we will get you all taken care of.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
