Public Beta for X-Plane, starting Thu Dec 9

Post by Keith Smith »

The public beta for PilotEdge will begin Thu Dec 9 with staffing in Southern California from 4pm-9pm PST.

We'll also be introducing a series of nightly focus flights to coincide with the launch, with suggested airports for:
- a GA VFR flight
- a GA IFR flight
- a typical hop for a bizjet or turobprop charter
- a hop in an airliner or regional jet

Pilots are, of course, willing to fly anywhere they like on the network, but for those who are flexible with their flying and looking to interact other people, we suggest picking something from the list to maximize your chances of working with other aircraft in the system. This is a way to get the most out of the system during the starup phase where the number of online pilots will be relatively small compared to the expected steady-state numbers in the future.

The beta schedule will remain 4pm-9pm PST, 7 days a week until further notice.

You may see positions staffed outside of that time, however, ATC presence is not guaranteed during those hours.
