Thank you for the welcome message. I am going through the workshops to refresh as it has been 25+ years and quite a bit has changed. And we are never to old to learn something new. I have to tell you my first flight on PilotEdge was just as exciting as my first solo. It was at a controlled airport and on my first touch and go I bounced 3 times and the tower came back with "you where cleared for ""A"" touch and go not three." LOL One of the greatest days of my life.

New PE user here. Absolutely loving the experience so far, the controllers do a truly amazing job in not only playing all roles from clearance up to center, but also over a massive area and with a lot of us who don't really know what we're doing! When they get into the real tower it's probably the easiest thing in the world! I've been a flight simmer since 2007 but PPL since 2017, although over in the UK so there's been a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how it all works. As both a flight simmer and PPL, the VHF simulation online is a magnificent experience (but can I have TX mic clicks please? ). I'm primarily an XP11 user, but I find PE is best with the smaller aircraft and I've fallen back in love with A2A and P3D. Only problem is none of the GPS units have current navdata so I've got to be super careful how I use them! I know what everyone does when they get the internet is street view their own house, and FS is no different, but flying IFR on a TEC route from Santa Barbara to Palomar in my little Comanche was so much fun, I don't want to go home!

Hi all!

Another new PE user. I have beein simming for more than 20 years, but being from Spain was a bit afraid having to use English for radio communications. Also, while I am familiar with VFR and IFR procedures in Europe, FAA ways are a bit different. Anyways, finally I decided to give it a try and yesterday I flew in PE for the first time. I am truly glad I did. The feeling of being in a living enviornment is amazing. No need to check for active positions or anything, look up the freq on the chart and there you go. And the size of the coverage are is such that you hear lots of fellow pilots around. Really nice.

I just need to acommodate my ear for the quicly spoken ATC instructions. Apologies to the guy in San Luis tower yesterday. I thought he was clearing me for taxi to parking while he was really asking which parking I wanted. I will try to do it better next time.

I started simming around April of 1987 on an Atari 800XL with 64k of RAM. I built a cockpit in my basement recently and one of the last set up components was PE. I've been dragging my feet and wringing my hands about it for some time. I tried to read as much as possible before I joined but I ended up just getting a case of information overload. To overcome something like that I decided to simply jump in with both feet. I started my subscription today and did a connection test. I'm set up and now very excited about getting involved with PE.

Hello everyone!

I'm a new PE user! I started flight simming when I was a kid at the launch of FS2002 with a logitech Joystick! I dabbled in Microsoft's online, but never really learned much about ATC communication until much later. PE might be the greatest invention to flight sims that I have experienced. I've been learning a lot and look forward to learning more. All the controllers are very professional and great at what they do! You will recognize me as I get nervous trying new things and will often fumble my words. Its been years and I'm working out the kinks as I get back in the swing of things. I really enjoy looking up the CAT rating program you have here. It is great to refresh my memory and practice different communications with the controllers. Apologies in advance to any controllers I may frustrate, but I get better each time with practice!

My name is Marnix Tahon, involved in flight simulation for more than 25 years and PPL. Introduced to Pilotedge by my good friend Hans and really impressed by the professionalism. Very good opportunity to get to know the way of flying in the US (as European) and to train IR as real as it can get.
I operate a simulation center in Belgium (Full motion A320 sim) while enjoying the GA flying.
