listening in on the web...

Post by Keith Smith »

I just learned that a Java applet exists which can connect to our voice server. This is _huge_ as it will allow people to listen in to all radio communications, similar to liveatc.net. Between that, and the recently added moving map display, I'm pretty excited about what this means for the venture.

That is really cool. I'll be listening in on my drive home to see how the traffic is for the flight :D

Not published yet. I got the demo version working, but wasn't able to rebuild it from the source to change which server it connects to, making it listen-only, etc. I'll have to work with the providers of the app to get that going. I need to shelve it for the time being until we get launched, or I might hand it off to someone else that might run with it.
