Socal and Norcal coverage

Post by arb65912 »

I want to make sure that with the PE setup, when Norcal is on line, I will not get the ATC interaction flying in Socal area and vice versa.

Since there is not that many pilots flying , I thought that controller could handle all pilots but I do not know how is the system set up.

Hello,

This is correct, NORCAL and SOCAL are seperate entities, 1 controller cannot work both centers at the same time.

Thank you, Peter, I expected that, just wanted to make sure.

This is why the website shows norcal and socal status as two different entities.
If one covered the other, we would only have one status indicator.

Makes perfect sense, I just thought that maybe they overlapped if there was no too much traffic.
