I think I get it now. The client you are using for fs9/x is still in alpha.

Step 3 states the X-Plane client beta is done. On May 24th, you said the FSX client is in alpha. To me, an alpha version isn't released and the beta version is. I'm not sure what FSX version we're curretnly using and was asking what the difference is between now and the final release.
I just reinstalled X-Plane 9, with the lasted update, and am anxious to try it out in PE.

Alpha versions are not always internal.
