Discord is a robust VoIP and text-based chat system with full web, desktop and mobile support. We've chosen to adopt this platform to provide members of the PE community with a venue for real-time comms (text or voice) to discuss anything and everything to do with PilotEdge, whether it's briefing a group flight, finding others to fly with for an impromptu lap of the pattern or XC flight, or whatever else the community wants to discuss.

It's also a great place for peer to peer tech support as there's a good chance that whatever issue you might be encountering, other people have seen it and fixed it before.

This server has actually existed for a little while as the home of the PilotEdge DCS testing group, so you'll notice the DCS rooms have a lot of chat history. It was repurposed this weekend to become general purpose for the entire PE community.

I just wanted to put another plug in for our Discord - it's starting to grow, and the community is really coming together. Stop by sometime!

Yes the text chat is heavily used and is very good lots of helpful folk and interesting chat / debate.

Are there anticipated use cases, if any, for PE customers in the context of PilotEdge to use discord voip feature?.

(I appreciate the wider/ not on PE / gaming aspects of voip)

There are several voice rooms on our Discord, named appropriately for the context in which they were created. Use of those rooms is at customer discretion, so feel free!
