Help setting up PTT with xplane

I have pilots edge plugin
x plane
and a mic plugged into mic input on pc
what else do I need to be able to transmit?
I didn't find anything in xplane configuration to be able to PTT
any help would be great

You need to assign a joystick button for a PTT. In the joystick button assignments, it's the "Contact ATC" that you want to use.

I'm glad Shawn was able to help you, but regarding your statement that you couldn't find anything that explained how to set it up, the very first step in the "Configuring XPlane" section of the download page says exactly what to do. It is literally step 1 in the xplane configuration section.

I'd strongly suggest you take your time and read all of the information presented on the download page and the getting connected page.
