KSUN procedural question

Post by w6kd »

If there's another established place for procedural questions, please enlighten me and/or move this there.

I just pulled this ATIS off of myflightroute.com for KSUN/Sun Valley-Hailey Field ID (bolded text is for emphasis). As I read the FAA departure mins, departures are not allowed off of rwy 31 due to obstacles (towering cumulogranite formations, to be specific). I've always understood Hailey to be one of those one-way in, other-way out fields.

KSUN is a one-way in/out airport. All IFR departures should use runway 13. Sometimes the myflightroute ATIS doesn't indicate the proper runway, and the active controller determines the runway assignment.

Thanks Bob & Scott. I’m afraid that I missed on getting the proper configuration loaded when KSUN was activated back in November. Hope to have it corrected soon.
