I'm a student and getting my feet wet with ATC... I flew this route today:

I'm using the Carenado 152 in X Plane VR... The route took a while. 45 min or so. I want to fly this a few more times, but it's tough to find 45 minutes to keep doing this.

Does anyone have an alternate route they'd recommend for non-towered to towered? I'd like to do this at least a few more times before moving onto the next rating. I'm signed up for the ZLA coverage area right now but open to change.

How about the First Flight scenario? L52 to SBP?

Alternatively...open a sectional chart...find a Class D towered airport. Then find a nearby non-towered airport and go for it.

Yep, was thinking about the same route... will definitely go through the sectional but was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions

Try using the “Flight Search” feature at MyFlightRoute. You can specify your search criteria and find numerous short flights. Within ZLA, I found 34 flights from non towered to class D airports which were under 15 miles.
