Buddy Chat on VHF?

Is it possible and allowed if a buddy and I use a VHF frequency to communicate while flying? Is the range still limited just like in real life? Thanks.

Treat it like real life...use 122.75 (the published air to air freq). Yes, it's range limited, along with every other frequency in the system.
