VFR flights - actual METAR vs sim weather

Post by yycflyer »

Hi

I strapped in this morning only to find the weather was overcast and rainy. I had to delay my VFR flight. No worries, but my question is; regardless of actual weather, if I changed my sim to beautiful day while really it was cruddy weather, would that cause any issues with the tower and clearance for take off?

Nope, it's perfectly fine. Just advise us that you're using custom weather and you're good to go.
