Accelerate simulation rate on I-5?
The I-05 is kind of a long slog in a single piston trainer. Could I coordinate w controller to accelerate simulation rate during some of the cruise portion so as to devote time mostly to the lesson focus on DPs and SIDs?

Yes, it's fine to ask that question of the controller. It's also not a bad time to step up to a faster airplane such as the Baron perhaps?

Thanks. I have considered that, but I am in the middle of training for my real instrument rating, so mixing up approach airspeeds and configurations messes me up right now.Keith Smith wrote:Yes, it's fine to ask that question of the controller.
