Time Shifting Flights

Sorry for Newbie question. Just subscribed to Pilotedge. Want to do a test flight, using the one they suggest on their website.
I do most of my flying after work, about 7-9PM PST. If I use real world time, I would be flying in the dark...I am pretty familiar with XPLANE/FS2020, but night flying is difficult.
Would it make a difference if I "TIME SHIFT" my flight, for an afternoon flight in the daylight, while talking to pilotedge?
Do the procedures change for day and night (closed runways, lighting, etc.). I want to be respectful of the simulation, but need to be able to control my plane as well.
Thank you in advance.
