As per our conversation in TS today, I have received a few disconnections recently during a flight. When I reconnect, ATC always give me a new sqawk code, which as you can imagine is just another pain when flying the 744 on your own. From my perspective I am still sqawking the original code given during clearance delivery as I have not changed anything, just reconnected. I understand that you are seeing one of the defaults 1200/2200 and hence the need to issue a new code. The PE client software gives you no indication as to why you were disconnected. I would like to suggest that the client be modified to display some error code as to why you were disconnected so you have something to work on. For example, if it is some sort of timeout due to a slow connection, whatever.
