CH Products yoke overhaul

Post by letsgofly »

I am using the CH Products Eclipse yoke with the throttle, prop and mixture, and thumb-activated rudders. It's getting long in the tooth and the pots are noisy, especially yaw. Even with expanded null zones, hand-flying to acceptable standards is well-nigh impossible. Has anyone had any success overhauling this yoke?

I have an older CH Product's yoke. It's their first USB version with the integrated throttle quad. I use their rudder pedals and don't have a noise problem, however, I had developed a wide null zone on the elevator axis due to friction. I found that applying a little petroleum jelly to the shaft prevents it from binding up.
