client in administrator mode

Post by Acroshaw »

is there any way round having to run the simulator ( p3d in my case) in non admin mode? I ask this because if I run it in admin atc can't hear me, but , both add on gps packages I use require the sim to be run in administrator mode !

If you run the sim in admin mode, then the keystrokes you enter to activate the PTT in PilotEdge are no longer seen by the PilotEdge app, they're swallowed up by the sim before PE can ever see them.

The workaround would be to move to FSUIPC-triggered PTT, using the SB3 / Roger Wilco trigger built into FSUIPC. It does require the registered version of FSUIPC, though, if memory serves.

I set up the PTT in FSUIPC for P3D (acronym alert! :D ), and I can confirm it works wonderfully. I run P3D in admin mode exclusively and there are no issues.
