If you want a VFR flight to be tracked without fail by PEaware, your best bet is to file a VFR flight plan. It's likely that the controller didn't enter an origin or perhaps a destination airport for your flight when you had flight following (perhaps you only called for the transitions, I'm not sure).

The flights only get tracked by PEaware if there is a flight strip associated with your aircraft. This occurs if the controller creates one on your behalf, or if you have filed a VFR flight plan (this same is not true in the real world, VFR flight plans aren't sent to ATC, but we allow it here specifically for flight tracking purposes on PEaware).
